Congratulations to Protocol on pulling first place here! The sample set was hard to work with but everyone seemed to do a good job. As usual the top 3 entries can be downloaded from the UK mirror hall of fame link.

- I voted this one first because it is simply the best. I had many others near to this one, but because they were long and boring with little or no change in theme did I give this song the highest points.
- such a brilliant tune out of such a rubbish samplepack.
- yes! this is awesome music. I like this!
file: light44.xm
- Light 44 made best use of the samples, the song was well tracked, good use of various effects were incorporated, it had good melodic texture, repetition wasn’t too big of an issue, and it set a good mood. It just took a while to get going… but well done nonetheless
- great ambiance and really, really catchy chorus. stirs emotions and beutifully mixed. clearly demonstrates skill. great lead too.. reminds me of old days because of the sound for some reason
- just like the overall demomusic kindof feel.. pro-crys.it, well.. protocol just rocks
- Good lead melodies, nice chord progression. The author has realy thought this song out well.
- No ‘great’ tunes this time, but light44.xm got the highest score because it was such a nice and friendly tune.
file: sauna.it
- Sauna was the only song that made an honest attempt, IMHO, to try to combine, rhythm, harmony, and a melody with a rather difficult sample set. So, why put it ahead of the other tunes? There were a few which I thought were close ((pv)dawn.it, gc31s&c.it, hopeless.it, sumrain.it, and un-sarou.it), but Sauna had a better overall composition. A nice overlaying of the leads and a lighthearted chord progression are an added bonus.
- Definitely not the typical techno that came with this votepack.. Smooth transitions, great use of samples & fades. Very mellow.

- This tune was great and could’ve been even better. When I hit play, I was amazed with how great the intro was. It made me think of deep space. Good idea with the bell/string sample. To top it all off the song was nice and upbeat. This would make excellent video game music for a space shooter. I only found a couple bad parts but overall this was just nicely done.
file: gc31-ryt.it
- pretty good piece with nice textures. it’s a bit repetitive at places (i know, it’s SUPPOSED to repetitive, but it could use more variation to flavor up the feel). when i started listening to the tune, i figured “great; another cheeseball techno so-called ‘song'”, but found that this particular song was actually very interesting to listen to, and it seemed that some thought actually went into it (unlike others in the pack). This one’s hard-drive worthy, and when i get a cd burner, it’ll probably eventually end up as more permanent audio
file: pv(dawn).it
- really cool song, good rythm, sounds beautiful, i like the style and music-theme…
file: hopeless.it
- Quite good intro, with nice use of the percussions. overall a good tune. i like the base that co-op´s with the chord in the background.Fadeout endings are allways to easy though
file: mzd-sl.it
- Cool chords and leads, structure is good, for me the best song on this pack!
- Good rhythm, harmony, and melody. Nice job mazedude! Really reminds me of old nintendo music =) Good chord progressions, with old skool technique.
file: ae.it
- I Like the funky bass line. the arpegiatio style lines work well, too. The drums are better than most in this compo. The use of the triplets in the drums on ocasion was effective. At the end they go to a good drum and bass style, which is always a plus in my book. Nice work with “the duck” too.
- Wow what a rollercoaster, the end section is inspired and the jungle drumwork is excellent.
Other Comments:
- Mood Swing, Spatial Distortia, ae.. These are all tracks that stand out from the rest (which are quite boring). These tracks will be added to my archives while the rest will be turfed..
