  • this entry excells in the areas of creativity, balance, and LEAD. The bassline was extremely groovy and the lead added to its overall groovyness leaving me no choice but to give this entry a big phatt first place :) Excellent Track!
  • strangely jazzy and melodious, with a very interesting theme behind it..i dig how you used the given syne waves to simulate a heart monitor…i just pity the poor guy who its hooked up to..ah well, at least he got to get a groove on before he bit the dust…
  • What can I say- catchy intro/theme, mellow leadwork, jazzzzy bassline, and a matching ending. Virts does it again (or not)- much to his chagrin! :)
  • Damn this tune is nifty. Very fluid leads, good technical usage, nice little vocal there. :> Highly entertaining tune…

  • Wow, Reduz – you did an awesome job with this one. Very nice cultural influence… well tracked, good variations on the theme; I am impressed!

file: mzd-gem.it

  • I love how the piano is used, inredible technique on it in combination with a cool ambient and strong drums. There is a lot of feeling and sense on the leads too that amazed me. The way of using the tempo is very original too. I gave first, because virt’s tune is good and fun, but just easy listening.
  • Some solid piano work in this track. Obviously, this was planned out before it was put in the tracker. The percussion was nicely done. I liked the jungle like beat. Nice Arrangemnet overall. I was very close to giving romantic.it first mazedude :P
  • Mazedude really scored me with this tune. It’s Really well orchestrated, and has the “jam” that other tunes in the pack really lacked…good leads, good backing, great chorus riffs. Well done.
  • The piano is very good and the other leads is very good together. The drums are going really into the song. It is just much better than everyone else.

  • excellent tune!!! addicting percussion along with drifting echoes flow with the wonderful leads, as well as the beeps and synes, and the impressive use of the vocal sample all helped give it that outer-world primate feeling! usually i dont go for the upbeat and catchy tunes but this one caught my attention from the very beginning! i only with that this awesome song was longer!!
  • Oh my GOD. It’s insanely happy! This track is composed in that blissful, carefree style I like to call DougMuzik. Only He can write a song whose sole intention is to make it known that he is a monkey, and pull it off with some simple but very cool rhythms and excessive use of major chords. The little outro on the back end is quite possibly the most neurotically happy phrase of music I have heard, with the exception of some of Mozart’s more fruity, loping pieces. Not that I am comparing Lizard with Mozart. Nooo. Lizard is a MONKEY! Huzzah! /me runs away singing “I am a monkey!”

  • Comments: Its Techno. The drums in the beginning and the rez synth rock. Very nice utilization of samples to give song a FULL sound. The ending is really outdone though.

file: glide.xm

  • this song is so blacknova its not even funny ;P.. I see you couldnt resist using that fuzz/noise sample. The bassline is a bit exagerated in the beginning but still groovy. Be a little more creative with the cymbal crash instead of using it on beat one of the main groove patterns – it becomes a bit annoying. Try using drum fills as you did with the ‘beeps’ to work into new patterns and phrases of the song. Enough criticism. Strings really add to this song and I enjoyed the ‘doubled up saxaphone lead’ in order 15. Order 20 is very nice–You should have done more with that pattern! :)

file: romanic.it

  • its nice to see someone attempt new styles. I like the gypsie feel and the harp. Especially during the slower parts of the song.

file: small_ay.it

  • This song is very nice, it leaves me whistling the melody when the song finishes. THAT IS GOOD! Its very hard to do that! Try and work on the balance of your lead though… make it a bit smoother.. perhaps its the way way overdone tracker echo effect ;) Great song!
  • very good tune with excellent melody but it got WAY to busy around the 3:00m mark, almost to the point where it was annoying, but other than that a nice tune..

file: elven.it

  • IRISH! :) NICE FLUTE. GOOD.
  • ugh, this tune is extremely too happy…im afraid im going to have nightmares of dancing elves…no!! NO!! NOT THE ELVES!! *screams*
  • I gave this tune first place because not only was it interesting to listen to, well rounded and nicely tracked, but the theme was brought across exceptionally well.

file: furry.it

  • Very Jazzy, well tracked lead. I love the Jxx effect on the lead :))))

file: static.it

  • jazzy style that glides into the ears and through the brain, uplifting and quite well done..

file: thurs.it

  • the bubbling sounds echo all throughout my ears and a catchy melody follows, thoughts and constructed noise race through my head as i look out the window… i sigh as soft yet powerful strings take me to another place as the noise drifts away, i know that this is a Dreary Thursday, not only an excellently crafted song but one with feeling…

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Quite a few really good songs this time round. I liked Pv’s piano tune, but I think it’s a pity he did’nt expand it more, there seems so much you could do with that. Elven parade is just brill, nice melodies and interesting style which makes for a good co-op. Romantic festival suprised me with the style, (mainly ‘cos it actualy works!) making good use of the sax sample like an accordian and Virt’s ER shuffle has a great jazzy tune and beat. Nice bunch of tunes guys. Keep it up!
