Comments
TuneName:Under.it
Comments: I chose this tune because it didn’t have the Nintendo style like many others had, and because it is well done making all themes fit
together.
Nice chords and bass. Patterns 13 and 15 Rock btw! I’m busy at the mo so thats it!
TuneName: Antartic.it
Comments: Hmmm.. pretty alful tunes a lot then this time, but antartic.it managed to do some good. Some good atmosphere and
a few well placed chords.
TuneName: Moonlander (Un-Moonl.it)
Comments: I don’t like demo-ish mods, I don’t like mod which don’t keep their atmosphere they start with and I don’t like mods which make me spleeping. Two mods rest from which this fits my claim the best since it doesn’t have any unsuitable in between melody. The only down point in ‘Moonlander’ is that there isn’t any break in it’s melody which would make it more interesting.
TuneName: Nf-leak.xm
Comments: Awesome tune. The arrangement sounds incredibly professional. I voted it first because has great ambient and overall sound, plus excelent leads and drum lines.
TuneName: gc40dgns.it
Comments: A really cool tune. Repetitive, but didn’t really get boring. The pauses in the beat and sublte variations kept it interesting. I
think it would’ve worked better as an entirely percussive tune; the little flute melody at the is kinda cheesy.
General Comments
When I judged these it was after listening to them in MikIt, which does a fairly good job of ignoring the mixing volume. In Impulse Tracker,
however, lots of the songs sounded much worse because the mixing volume was way to high, and there was lots of really heavy clipping. In other
words, if you’ve got lots and lots of channels going, LOWER the mixing volume to avoid clipping and just get the listener to turn up their
speakers.
