Comments On First Place:

- toymobile. yumyumyum. melodies and harmonies in this track were great, haunting at
times. loved the brass bit - the sorta fade-ish pad-ish thing, um. :) also liked the fact
that it didnt totally depend on the beats to carry it thru (4/4 tekkno composers note).
goodgood "vibe" to it, dare i use the word. nice sleepy-time track.
- 'Toymobile' was my favourite cause it was different and the tune was superb! Little
effects thrown around everywhere added to the atmosphere, the samples themselves were used
great for this style. Terrific!

- Sphinx gets the topscore in my ranking after a tough race against Wayfinders GC24.IT,
mainly because of originality. The total annihilation beyond recognition of all samples is
forgiven because they are used so well. If the tune had a more catchy b-section, and a
better transaction to it, it would have got an even better score.
- Sphinx kicks ass... awesome overdriven drums, weird ass chords and shifts, and pretty
decent lead... and oh yea, love the 240 trick =)

- Housy feeling, nice drums, energetic. Good stuff...
file: gc24
- This is simply the entry that is best, but you... ?? (care to put the rest in?)
Voting Style Comments:
Old Style (Order 1-10):
- Why is this? : I think, this Voting method is easier but the old one is more relative!..
U HAD! to give one musician the first place. Now I can give him only 4 points and hope,
that others give me more :(
(GroovyAdmin: Yes.. 1st place even if the tune was really bad..
and if the tune deserves 4 points that's what it should get.)
- No it's possible to ditch a track you really hate by giving it 1 point or something.
This doesn't seem right.
(GroovyAdmin: It's also possible to ditch a track by not placing
it, or putting it last.. also scores are averaged, which will tend to eliminate huge
differences in scores.)
P.S. if you wish you can remain anonymous by leaving out their name in the tune, then
people won't name vote and give you a bad score based on your name.
New Style (Score /20):
- i feel it gives a more accurate representation on how i feel on the tracks, rather than
a vague "1st/2nd/last" vote. also lets you vote on _all_ of the songs, not just
the top ten (not a problem with this pack, but others can get quite large).
- Because it's more fair. I personally always rate the songs out of 100 then put the
results in place form for the compo.
- Although this method makes it easier to score between contests, the old method (when
only the entrants can vote) makes sure that that particular contest is completely fair,
and we know the favored among all... whereas this method ppl can vote ultra low or high
and effect the scores accordingly...
(GroovyAdmin: problem was many people were saying it wasn't
fair. They suggested weighting according to 1st 2nd and 3rd place. This may be fairer to
them but then not to the lower down in the scale.)
- I think this is a better way for everyone to vote because it's so simple. It's also much
easier for you to find the result.
Reasons Behind Trying New Vote Format:
- People were complaining the old method giving a tune a position in the top 10 was unfair
in that someone with more 1st places should get a higher score.
- Eliminates Placing a song 10th when it may deserve equal 3rd or something.
- No fixed order, more than one tune may have the same score per voter.
