Really slack effort by entrants on voting this time round. Looks like people have been worn out by MC6 or something, entries were few this time. Well done to Alex G for comming 1st!

  • Alien Playground was the most melodic and enjoyable song to me. While not his best, AlexG always turns in well done and polished tunes, and this one was no exception.
  • i liked the mood created by this track. it had alot of depth and feeling. the rhythm was pretty cool too, and the leads were great. i also liked how the track wasnt as repetetive as some of the others.

  • Billy was the best tune in the list for a few reasons. Though the background was repetitive, the melody and overtonic chords were placed cleverly in random places...That sounded good. The overall feel and use of samples in this tune was intelligent as well, and the use of effects was decent (as opposed to overuse by pv-doll). Yes, it did build up slowly, but wasn't inherently boring. Good job.

  • Man, Yannis, the samples this time around inspired a lot of REALLY weirdo stuff. There were a few professional-sounding tracks in this contest, but "Nile" was the only one that was musically pleasant. Looks like a good amount of work was put into this tune, but the effort would have been put to better use by adding a little more musical variety. The "Nile" atmosphere was nicely done. dig the bongos.

  • Ok, Nightmare. I liked this tune much better than your GC20 entry, but I couldn't dance to this because the beats are bland. I put some syncopation on this and it sounded a little better, but you need to take advantage of all your percussion, and don't just put all the accents on every 8th row. Put some groove into it. That's my only advice for you; make your beats a little snazzier. :) (I kinda thought the whistle parts and the parts where you took that wacko sample and porto'd it were really annoying; chill out on that stuff.)
